Plan a feasible journey
Account for legal speeds, rest, loading/unloading, congestion, weather, vehicle access and foreseeable delays. Verify driver allocation and communicate changes.
Respond to delay
Re-plan delivery slots and escalate unsafe expectations. Retain original and revised schedules, fatigue checks, route reviews and delay communications.
